So, the moment everyone's been waiting for has finally arrived: the Chasing Butterflies contest is over, and the winners are about to be announced!!! (Finally!) Alrighty then... no preamble! Here's what I judged on:

" a) The Butterfly(s)- These will be graded on their design, coloring, personality, and creativity. Always remember that doing more than one is a significant help!

b) The Background- The background won't count very much. Just make it as best you can, and don't have it resemble mine, or you will lose points.

c) The CAT(S)- The cat(s) will count the most, seeing as they are the object of the contest. Any and all cats you have pictured will be graded on accuracy of colors and markings, eyes, etc. (you can't really get this wrong, since they're your characters! XD), personality, and position. It seems like a little, but the cat(s) can help you break it or make it. Always remember that doing more than one is a significant help! "

1. with [link] ...Even though your background was hard to see, your cat was plain and clear... and beautiful. I loved how you gave me a sense of who the character really was, and I just adore the expression!

2. with [link] ...I love your perspective on this piece; the angle creates a certain "flying" aspect to the picture. And I agree with you that that is the most detailed butterfly I've ever seen. Overall, two thumbs up!

3. with [link] ...I just have to love the design and expression of this character. What else can I say?

4. with [link] ...I absolutely adore this picture! It's so bright, and the cats' faces are so perfectly in tune with their personalities! The butterfly is very pretty.

5. with [link] ...I simply love the cat's expression in this picture. The butterfly is very nice too, but it's the cat who makes it. Good job!

2. with [link] ...Spirit seems like a very sweet and unusual character, and I like the way his face looks. The butterfly is very beautiful too, and I'd have to say that the only thing missing would be a background. Very good!

3. with [link] ...First off, I love the angle. It makes for such a lovely picture. And then the cats are even more pretty... I love how you portrayed Silversmoke in this piece! The butterfly is georgous; I like how you designed it.

4. with [link] ...I personally think that the best thing about this wonderful picture is the personality it has. I love how Foxwhiskers seems to have so much confidence and spunk... it's beautiful!

1. with [link] ...There is so much to say about this beautiful piece, and I just can't find the right words. I guess I'll have to settle for saying that I love the shading on the cat, and the butterfly is very pretty!

2. with [link] ...The background on this is nice, and I love the colors and position of the cat. The butterfly is truly "win," and in fact I think it's the highlight of the whole picture.

Yay!!! I've finally got my TABLET!!!!!!!!!!! 's charrie, Sunpaw, was my first experiment, and now that I've got the hang of it, I can be sure that all my piccies will improve in quality. 's in for a treat with her Kosher pic!
